Amy

Beth

Jo
Jo is the second oldest girl. She is a total tomboy, and has a quick temper, but she learns to control it by the end of the book. Learn more about Jo on the Jo pages.
Meg

The March Family
The March Family is the perfect example of theme for a family. They are very hard working, kind, and friendly. The March Family includes Mr. March who is the sisters' father, Marmee March,the is the sisters' mother, Meg,the eldest sister, Jo,the second eldest sister, Beth, the second youngest sister, and Amy, the youngest sister. They have a family friends named Mr. Laurence and Theodore Laurence (known as Laurie.) They really show the value of family in the course of the story. Even through the hardships of life they stay true to each other and learn how to live without their father, Mr. March, while he is away at war for the Union. Even in the time of being poor they were always true to each other, even when they fought with each other. They always worked their best to keep each other happy and healthy.
